Damn another one of the guys got engaged. It’s Fauzi this time. Haha I made it seem like it’s a bad thing. Well, the affair was a fairly small one but because it’s us, it seems that we are having a blast. We were like laughing and talking non stop, not really caring about the others much. Haha. Hi,

It’s been a few months since I last posted something. Well I was busy doing almost nothing for the past 1 month. It’s the holiday period and now it already ended. Back to SCHOOL! -_-

Alright, alright. I know I’ve taken these photographs before. But I haven’t used my D700 for these amazing subjects. I had a hard time trying to get the colours and lighting right. It’s so damn difficult. I’m really trying to improve on natural lighting which is so hard to master. But like I said, I’m just going to try and try until I get what I want. Here are the photos:

Diyar’s Wedding Dinner

The dinner was held at Halia Restaurant at Botanical Gardens. Well, as usual, when we make our way there, we were lost! Bada who supposedly knows everything manage to make us walk the entire Botanical Gardens before finding the spot. Erm, I exaggerated a bit. But I had to. I was already sick from fever and many were tired from the solemnization activities. Thank god, we reached there in one piece. Imagine 6 of us in smart casuals walking through gardens and whatnots. Hah.

I’m still sick though. This has been the longest fever that I’ve actually experienced. My head’s still woozy and I can’t even walk straight. Damnit. But nonetheless, these are the photos as promised.

Diyar’s Pre Wedding

Diyar is officially married so I can post these pictures. Hahaha. He keeps telling me not to post it first. Wait until he’s done. So no problem. This was taken at Punggol. Such a hard time looking for places but anyway, it was quite a last minute thing so not much of wedding wear, just plain normal clothes.

A week ago, Diyar asked me to help out with his wedding preparation. Well, sort of. Doing work was only 35% and me taking photos 65%. Diyar said not to publish any of pre-wedding shots. It was meant to be a surprise. Well, respecting his wishes, I won’t publish any of his items to be given to the bride and guests. But there are other photos which I would like to publish. Teachers’ Day Celebration

Hola,

This pictures were taken sometime back when we were having our Teachers’ Day TeaTime at Marina South. On a boat! Took me a long time to edit and upload due to many events happening in and out of school. Now that, exams are over and students having their post-exam activities, I am more freed up to do all this. This pictures tell me that I need a polarizer filter. Editing the over-exposed skies is such a chore!

Trying out Macro

Recently, I bought myself a Sigma 28mm f1.8 Aspherical Macro and I know I have to try the macro capabilities straight away. I mean how good can a wide angle lens be for a macro shot. Well, I was happy that I bought this baby. It didn’t really cost me that much and it did blow my mind away with the colours. But of course, the pictures that I’m going to post would not be so much of quality as I’m still trying out and at the same time, trying to learn. So here goes:

Ouh as you can see, the insect is missing one leg due to the cat you see in the background. Well, after I took the photo, I took the insect and let it hide in the bushes. So it was not eaten or anything gross like that. :)
